THE STORY BEHIND ANGEL’S DELIGHTS

About me

Hello, my name is Angelo.

Nearly 60 and the son of Italian emigrants, I grew up in the Thun region. I have stayed close to this area ever since and have been living in Hünibach for several years.

After completing my apprenticeship as a chef at Hotel Krone in Thun, I spent more than 20 years gaining experience in different areas of gastronomy. For around 25 years I have worked on the road, delivering frozen products to customers. I work as a relief driver, enjoy the variety and changing locations, and especially value the personal contact with our long-standing customers.

In my free time, I am involved with the Schadaugarten association in Thun. We are able to use the former Schadau nursery free of charge as part of a temporary-use project. There I created the culinary section and have since organised various events as well as sourdough bread workshops.

From March to November, a large flea market takes place on the site on one Sunday each month. For around three years, I have been serving freshly baked wood-fired pizza there from my small pop-up.

Over time, that small pop-up has grown into a real passion. With Angel’s Delights, I now want to take it further and offer my pizza in other places, at pop-ups and private events.

I look forward to meeting many people and sharing a little of my passion with them through my pizzas.
